The Civil Fraud Module is a case management module to process civil fraud cases. It contains a referral system for alleged civil fraud instances that initiates the investigation with the transmission of the proper documents. Investigation activities and correspondence with related parties are stored in the case file in order to reach a determination on allegations and potential settlement activity. The module generates customized reports on case activity and results. CSI’s Civil Fraud module was first developed for the NJ Department of Banking & Insurance, where up to 100 investigators and supervisory staff utilize the module on a daily basis. The InfoShare CJP/Screening Module provides secure, electronic submission of all indictable arrest documents from local municipalities to the County Prosecutor’s office. The documents are scanned or uploaded to a case initiated by a local police department, creating an electronic case file that can be viewed by all authorized parties involved in the criminal case. Role-based security can be limited or expanded, as the need arises, to include local police, courts, public defenders' offices, and the Prosecutor’s Office, providing a secure and efficient process for the transmission of all documents necessary to screen or prosecute a case. An important interface for eProsecution customers is the Court Interface module. A file of daily entries and updates on defendants, charges and court events from the court’s criminal case system is created and downloaded locally to the eProsecution database. This daily feed eliminates duplicate data entry in the eProsecution module, saving valuable resources and ensuring data integrity. This module was first developed in New Jersey through a combined effort with CSI, NJ county prosecutors’ offices and the Administrative Office of the Courts. Today, the majority of NJ prosecutors’ offices and the state Attorney General's Office have taken advantage of this data exchange, which can be configured for any Prosecutor or District Attorney Office. The InfoShare Crime Analysis solution is an Intelligence tool that utilizes GIS mapping technology to analyze time, day, and location data on incidents that have been entered into the InfoShare database. Using customized report templates stored in the database, the data is then displayed to the Intelligence Unit highlighting hotspots and peak hours for each crime type. The InfoShare Crime Scene Module has been designed to track various aspects of the Crime Scene Unit activities including report writing, contact collection, evidence inventory, evidence processing, notes, document retention and tracking of the judicial stages of the case. Via this component, associated investigations from other units are linked to the Crime Scene case. The CSI investigator enters evidence items associated to the case directly into the module, which produces labels with bar codes for ease of tracking. If InfoShare Evidence module is employed by the organization, the items are seamlessly integrated into it as well. Contacts related to the Crime Scene portion of the case are retained, as well as evidence processing requests. All written reports, scanned documents and digital images are associated to the case and are easily accessible. The InfoShare Death Investigations Module is designed to track the various findings associated with a death investigation, including cause, date/time and manner of death, conditions of the body at the time of death, when and where the autopsy was performed, and the medical examiner's determination for the cause of death. The InfoShare Domestic Violence Family Module was specifically designed for prosecutors’ offices to easily and accurately record and track Domestic Violence cases heard in the Family Court. A busy Prosecutor’s Office often receives a voluminous amount of information and not all of it is attached to an investigation or gets assigned immediately. The InfoShare Duty Referral Module provides a repository for the County Prosecutor Offices to record, categorize, review and track reported incidents, without making an immediate assignment. After the incident data is entered, a preliminary assessment can then be made and forwarded to a supervisor for review. The supervisor can assign the incident to staff for further investigation and move it to the investigation module or close the incident with no further action. The system captures and stores data regarding referent information, location, nature and type of incidents as well as victims, witness and suspect information. The InfoShare eDiscovery module is a discovery production component which can be integrated with the Case Documents record of the e-Prosecution module. This component permits legal staff to select a set of documents for discovery, conduct redaction of all confidential information (Social Security numbers, victim addresses, etc.) and selected words throughout the discovery set, and then Bates number the document set. Both the original documents and a copy of the discovery set are retained in the system. The discovery records will identify the defense attorney(s), date discovery provided and automatically bill the attorney, in accordance with the state’s statutory charges (this can be configured according to regulations of any state). The InfoShare Major Incident Module (MIM) is an investigation tool designed to link multiple agencies working on complex multi-jurisdiction cases. MIM provides the task force commanders the ability to quickly view and manage investigative data, using state-of-the-art link analysis and GIS mapping. This module can be integrated with the Investigation and CAD modules to reduce redundant data entry. Currently deployed at the Bergen County (NJ) Prosecutor’s Office in conjunction with the UASI (Urban Areas Security Initiative), MIM plays a critical role in the BCPO’s responsibility of managing major incidents in a county with 70 individual law enforcement entities, the most in the state of New Jersey. The MIM provides the Bergen County law enforcement community with the ability to manage major events via one uniform application. Further, the BCPO will also act as the host agency for other UASI counties to access the MIM to manage incidents in their respective counties or across county boundaries. Additionally, the Camden County Prosecutor’s Office, as part of the Strategic Multi Agency Shooting & Homicide Team, has deployed the MIM to manage violent crime investigations in the city of Camden, recently named the 2nd most violent city in the United States. The InfoShare Motion module provides an interface to display information specific to a motion during a case. All motion information is stored in the case file and is divided into separate fields and tabs to simplify viewing. This will allow the users to work through their motion cases easily, quickly making changes to the needed fields and reducing time on paperwork. Fields are configurable, but typically will include motion number, motion type, motion status, and items issued. Case related documents are stored in the documents tab and are readily available. The InfoShare Personnel Module provides the HR administrator with all the tools needed to view and manage all HR functions. An authorized supervisor can view, edit, assign and make decisions for all staff events. A series of hyperlinks compiled on the home screen provides the user with a quick and simple page for navigation throughout the module. All aspects of scheduling are handled, from leave requests to overtime scheduling and a daily attendance list is provided to assist with overtime requests and covering areas that may be short-staffed. InfoShare’s Sex Offender’s Module was designed around the tenets of Megan’s Law, the sex offender legislation first passed in New Jersey and then replicated in most other states. Megan’s Law provides the community with awareness, a key element in safe-guarding our children from predators. Aiming to become a partner in this critical mission, CSI developed the Sex Offender module to provide law enforcement with an effective, quality, user-friendly product to not only track all registered sex offenders within the state, but to also open the lines of communication among the various organizations involved in monitoring sexual predators. The Sex Offender module has been customized to meet each client’s needs for tracking and mapping convicted and released sex offenders by providing a comprehensive solution that includes offender registration, risk assessments, document notifications, and support for mapping with up-to-date street maps.
