Middlesex County Sheriff's Office Installs their Custom Designed Sheriff Personnel Module

Keasbey, NJ, September 1, 2004 - CSI has just announce that the Middlesex County, NJ Sheriff's Department recently installed and went live with its' custom designed personnel module which is used to track all employees schedules and days off. The Sheriff's Department has been using the InfoShare data management system to manage their criminal records since 2001. They recently had a need for a better and more efficient way to track their employee records and asked CSI to work with them to develop a Personnel Module.

The new Personnel Module is a comprehensive employee management system. It includes an employee schedule available for all staff with the proper permission to see. That schedule provides the user with the entire list of almost 300 employees broken down by department and where each employee is scheduled to be at all times. The schedule reflects all vacation and personal time as well as scheduled days off and where they are for each shift. In addition, authorized personnel can change the schedule right there and have the change reflected back to all users immediately as well as print it out.

Another feature of the Personnel Module, is the vacation and personal request section, in which all employees who have access to a computer can come and request vacation or personal time. For those who do not have access to a computer, paper requests can be made to authorized personnel who will input the request into the computer for them. Each request has to go through an approval process and be approved first by the employees supervisor and secondly by the chief or other person authorized to make final approval decisions. When a request is approved the employee is notified and that change is reflected back to the Personnel Schedule.

In addition to these comprehensive features, the Personnel Module also has a complete record of each employees pedigree information, and shows a detailed track of all requested days off. The Yearly Calendar available will automatically calculate approved days off broken down into category and month and show the balance of days still available to each employee each year.
