Case Management System Goes Online at the Office of Public Defender of New Jersey

CSI Technology Group announced that a criminal case management
system custom developed for the Office of Public Defender was installed
and operating in 17 county offices as of May 9, 2000. The current database
holds over 600,000 case records and 1 million personal information records
on defendants and other persons associated with each case.
CSI personnel perform the data conversion activities and give on-site training to the staff of each office as the system goes online.
The system operates with a sophisticated set of permissions which allows attorneys, investigators and clerical personnel to review information based on their need to know.
It also allows for management personnel to measure hours spent and costs associated with each case. as well as a client billing system.
The five remaining county offices will go online one each week until June 27th, 2000, when all offices will be operating on the case management system.
