| The State of
Hawaii Employment Security Appeals System is a custom
developed application for the Department of Labor and
Industrial Relations designed to automate the process
by which Employment Security Appeals Officers initiate,
schedule, track, report, and dispose of their cases.
The ESAS application converts the manual activities
of the Department to enable the Office to operate more
efficiently, to deliver prompt decisions, to meet federal
time-lapse requirements, and to have documentation of
each of the required steps in their process. In addition
to the main application CSI has developed a working
digital recording solution, which is used by the Appeals
Officers to record their hearings. The hearings are
recorded and then uploaded into that case in the Appeals
System for quick access by the Officers at a later time.
The Officers may listen to the hearing at any time while
working in their Appeals System.
